+ INOVATION + RESEARCH + PRACTICE

The GEOTPU.LAB is coordinated by Professor Miguel Amado and has been located on the UNL Campus in Caparica since May 2005. The LAB has a strong collaboration with MAA and develops research projects in partnership. The GEOTPU.LAB conducts research on the development of knowledge and methodologies for the sustainability of the built environment. The approach is based on the integration of sustainability principles and environmental parameters, as well as socio-cultural and economic aspects in spatial planning, urban design, and architectural projects. This interdisciplinary approach facilitates innovative and dynamic collaboration between architects and engineers at the interface of design and technology. Additionally, the LAB works on rehabilitation and regeneration programs for informal areas in developing countries and energy efficiency in urban and rural planning and architecture in developing countries. link
